Collection: Champagne Pierre Cellier
Champagne Philippe Gonet — Pierre Cellier
Created in 1977 by Philippe Gonet, the Pierre Cellier label was born from a request by a longtime Paris client seeking a younger, more approachable style of Champagne — one that emphasized freshness, fruit, and value while still maintaining the precision and quality of the Gonet family estate. Philippe named the project after his eldest son, Pierre, and his wife’s maiden name, Cellier.
Produced exclusively from estate-grown fruit from the Gonet family vineyards, Pierre Cellier offers a more vivid, fruit-forward expression than the flagship Gonet wines. While the traditional Gonet cuvées spend a minimum of three years aging on lees before disgorgement, the Pierre Cellier wines rest for a minimum of two years — still well beyond Champagne’s required 15 months. The result is a style that is vibrant, generous, and immediately appealing, while retaining the balance and finesse expected from a grower Champagne house rooted in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger.
Today, the Pierre Cellier range remains a small, focused project under the direction of Pierre and Chantal Gonet and reflects the family’s commitment to sustainable viticulture through HVE-certified farming and organic farming practices.
