Collection: Domaine Jean Chartron - A Legacy of Excellence Since 1859
For over 160 years, Domaine Jean Chartron has been crafting exceptional wines in the heart of Puligny-Montrachet. Founded by cooper Jean-Edouard Dupard in 1859, this historic estate is now lovingly managed by Jean-Michel and Anne-Laure Chartron, representing the fifth generation of passionate winemakers.
The Chartron family's deep roots in Burgundy extend beyond winemaking - they've served as mayors of Puligny-Montrachet for generations and were instrumental in adding "Montrachet" to the village name in 1873, honoring their most prestigious vineyard.
Today, the domaine carefully tends 14.5 hectares across Puligny-Montrachet and neighboring communes, producing village appellations, Premiers Crus, and Grands Crus from some of the finest terroirs in Côte de Beaune and Côte Chalonnaise. With vines averaging 40 years old and meticulous environmental stewardship, Jean-Michel's expert vinification and Anne-Laure's sustainable vineyard management create wines that beautifully express their exceptional terroir.
Every bottle reflects their unwavering commitment to tradition, quality, and respect for the land that has defined their family for five generations.
